About Me
I always knew I wanted writing to be an integral part of my career. After college, I landed in Media Relations at Home Box Office (HBO). It was exciting and fun, but a desire to do something more led me to healthcare. I spent the bulk of my career in hospital communications and health promotion, before stepping out to raise a family and then care for a parent with Alzheimer's. During that time, I volunteered extensively in my community, including serving in board/leadership roles for local chapters of two national organizations dedicated to women and girls. More recently, I pursued a certificate in functional nutrition, gaining expertise in anatomy, physiology, and the myriad health conditions that impact our nation, as well as the lifestyle interventions that can be used to address them.
Stepping back in, I want to put my energy into what I love most. The craft of editing and proofreading is so tangible and satisfying -- like peeling the plastic from a new iPhone. The perfectly chosen word, the expertly crafted sentence, and a passion for the mission at hand have the power to elevate any message. Let me elevate yours.
Superpower: I find typos in everything I read. Everything.
Quirk: I punctuate my texts. I can't help it. If you do the same, you get it.
Obsession: Japanese stationery and pens. Heaven.
